The Team

So far..

The Concert of Prayer has been steadily growing over the last few years as the vision and call of God has been clarified. Currently the Concert of Prayer consists of around twenty individuals who serve in one of the following teams:

  • A Board of Oversight, comprising church leaders from large city centre churches in Edinburgh, Glasgow and also England. The board provides spiritual oversight and is the overall authority over the Concert of Prayer as a ministry.

  • A team of trustees drawn from churches in Edinburgh, West Lothian and Canada who look after the practical, administrative, financial and governance requirements of the Concert of Prayer in order to safe guard and steward the resources we receive.

  • A team of trainers who are responsible for visiting local churches and providing training, resources and equipping to local church leadership teams as they are invited to do so.

  • A team of intercessors who are constantly praying over the above teams and the work of the Concert of Prayer.

About the founder: Lloyd van Vuuren

Lloyd has a passion for the local and national church to experience depth and intimacy in their relationship with Christ fuelled and sustained by prayer. Over the last few years Lloyd has been involved in workplace evangelism which led to the formation of the prayer initiative ‘Concert of Prayer for Scotland’. Through this ministry, God led him to gather Christians of many denominations to ‘cry out mightily to God’ (Jonah 2:8) for Scotland.

Lloyd grew up in Zimbabwe and moved to the United Kingdom fifteen years ago. Although initially based in the Isle of Man, he has spent the most recent ten years near Edinburgh, Scotland in a thriving city church [King's Church Edinburgh | A Church For All Of Edinburgh (kingschurchedinburgh.org) and a church plant [King's Church West Lothian | (kingschurchwl.org)] near Edinburgh, both part of New Ground Churches] before he recently started serving a local Parish Church [KIRKLISTON PARISH CHURCH].
