
Spiritual Advisory Group
Spiritual Advisory Group (SAG) comprising church leaders and senior leaders from churches in Edinburgh, Glasgow and also England. The SAG provides spiritual oversight, advice over the Concert of Prayer as a ministry. The SAG consists of eight members, shown below.
Alistair Barton (Chairman)
Alistair Barton, is the Director of Pray for Scotland prayforscotland.org.uk and an Elder, Kirkliston Parish Church kirklistonparish.org
Guy Pembroke
Guy Pembroke came to know Christ in his 20's while working in forestry. He and his wife Jocelyn trained in mission at Tilsley College and then served with a church in Dublin where their two daughters were born. They served in church planting and leadership training Peru for 12 years, prior to returning to Scotland. Guy has developed pathofdisciples.org, a discipleship programme used by various churches in Scotland. He serves as an evangelist based in King's Church Edinburgh and is part of the leadership team of the newly formed church plant (Through King’s Church) in North Edinburgh. Guy also currently works one day a week as a training consultant in forestry in the UK.
Steven Anderson
Steven Anderson has been involved in a variety of Christian leadership roles since 1987. Steven was pastor of Castlemilk Baptist Church in Glasgow from 1987 -1999, before he, and his wife Helen, together formed Prayer for the City in Glasgow, a ministry seeking to bring united, envisioned and sustained prayer for transformation. In 2004 they pioneered Healing Rooms in Scotland which they led as National Directors for 10 years, seeing over 50 rooms open and operating across the nation.
Steven is currently involved in planting simple churches locally and supporting others doing so around Scotland, as well as providing equipping courses and other resources. More can be found at www.mapmakers.org.uk
Akhtar Shah
Akhtar Shah is endlessly grateful for Jesus. A former social worker and pastor, he helps lead three specific kingdom communities and works, the Foundry, Kingdom Embassy and the School of Word and Spirit, working with individuals and groups in church, business and elsewhere - wherever the Lord leads Him. Akhtar's life has been marked by miracles and he is longing to see every believer walking in a deeper relationship with Jesus and in the fullness of the power of God.
Alistair Matheson
Alistair Matheson is on the leadership of the Apostolic Church and is also a pastor at Glasgow City Church.
Euan McCrindle
Euan McCrindle along with his wife Romona, leads Every Nation Church Glasgow which is part of Every Nation a global family of churches. Euan was born in Glasgow but spent much of his childhood in South Africa. Before moving back to Glasgow, he has been part of a team planting and leading a church in Berlin, Germany.
Angus Freeman
Angus Freeman is a member of Victory Hill Church in Edinburgh, a church in the Regions Beyond Church Family which is part of Newfrontiers.
Lloyd Jansen van Vuuren (Founder)
Lloyd Jansen van Vuuren grew up in Zimbabwe and moved to the United Kingdom almost twenty years ago. Although initially based in the Isle of Man, he is now based near Edinburgh, Scotland. He is part of a vibrant church plant in Edinburgh Victory Hill Church (victoryhilledinburgh.com) which is part of a wider family of churches across the world Regions Beyond | For Him . For One Another . For The Nations
Lloyd has a passion for the local and national church to experience depth and intimacy in their relationship with Christ fuelled and sustained by prayer. Over the last few years Lloyd has been involved in workplace evangelism which led to the formation of the prayer initiative ‘Concert of Prayer for Scotland’. Through this ministry, God led him to gather Christians of many denominations to ‘cry out mightily to God’ (Jonah 2:8) for Scotland.
Trustees - We have a team of four Trustees who oversee the Financial, Governance and Legal aspects of the charity.
